Hi guys, ''I know some people get worked up about threads in the ''wrong ''aria'' ''place'' But we're all cool her right:cool: I can't get into my Dpug account ''Password won't reset'' and scanning is kind of a grey aria so here we go:D

I made a scanning rig for my 35mm film with a 75mm enlarging lens, and my A7, old colour, and newly developed B/W is what I'm scanning, when I scan the colour ones the tones are all over the place, and by the time I've got them under control I've lost a lot of my colure detail, They look like they were shot on a cheap smart phone, What am I doing wrong?

Off topic for APUG.

I've sent a note to the moderator, who most likely will pass your DPUG sign on problems to Sean.

Move it to DPUG, besides DPUG needs the business.

seanE, I built a similar rig and recently solved the colour-problem. Please re-post your query in dpug so we can discuss it there.

you can also go here to find answers: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)
( the link on the main forum page is wonky )

couple of quick questions -

what software are you using after you suck them into your a7 ( camera? ) ?
how are you setting up the film before you rephotograph it ?
what sort of light source are you using to illuminate them?
this really shouldn't be as difficult as it seems it ia
( rephotograph negatives, suck them into the computer &c )
instead of a beam of light ( xerox style ) getting the information, a static shutter is.
