Scanning 4x5 negatives on Epson 4870

Today after few years of not using it for negative scanning I tried to scan 2-4x5 negative on Epson 4870 using latest Epson scan software 3.07A in professional mode. After each attempt to preview image, it's automatically cropping negatives to 5 thumbnails, size 4.20x1.4". I could not change Document or Target size. It looks like scanner is not recognizing negative mask, or negative size in the scanner. Yes, lid is taken of transparency unit. Does anybody has any experiences of ideas??

When you are using your negative holder do you have it so the notched part is towards the back and the cover off the lid?
Have you gone to "configuration" and under "other" reset to factory defaults?

Can you upload a screen shot of your "control panel" so we can see what your settings are?

At the bottom of the Professional setting window (where you select document/transparency/bit depth/scan resolution and the like) there is a checkbox called thumbnail , deselect it.
