OK,
I have a simple question regarding scanning. I need a scanner that can handle 4x5 negatives. The scans it should deliver have to be of high enough quality to be able to make 11 x14 inch prints that are very decent.

If I decide to to bigger images I'll have them scanned at a lab.
I just need it for portfolio and image discussions

What are my options? off course as cheap as possible as long as the 11x14's are good.

Thanks for the effort in replying to this thread, kind regardS Game

Microtek i800 or Epson 4990 are what most people choose.

There's lots of discussion of this over at largeformatphotography.info, and they don't allow scanner discussions here, so you might check over there for more specifics.
