I drawed a camera concept on to my notebook and I have no digital camera nor scanner and I will try to explain it to you with my poor english.

As you know , if you take a stick and nail from one end , other end draws a circle.

I thinked

I am buying a aluminium stick
I am opening a hole to the one end of stick.
I am taking a nail and attach the nail to the stick.
And free end of the stick will draw a circle.

Than
I am buying a thin curved cylindirical mirror
I attached it to the free end of the stick.

Than I make a slit scan camera and put it on to the NAILED SIDE of the stick.

Mirror draws a circle and focus the beam in to the cameras slit.
Mirror draws circle and slit scan records continiously the moving mirrors image.

You can create giant RADIUS digital or film astronomic or teleobjective camera by this way.

What do you think ?

Mustafa,
Google Cirkut cameras, and there might be information on APUG about them as well.
