Hello everyone,

Can anybody tell me if the SB-600 is compatible with the Nikon FG?
Is so, will the TTL mode work?
I am confused because the FG is not on the compatibility list of the SB-600 manual, however it appears in the SB-800 manual

Thanks!

I believe same as my N90s - TTL but not the later i-TTL. The difference, if I recall, is the advanced TTL functions such as fill flash. I looked it up when I got my SB-600 but never used it with my N90s, so I'm short on specifics.

The FG is in the compatibility list, just not identified specifically. It's within the "group" of film based cameras mentioned in the manual.

Thanks! I did a quick test, the FG on Autoexposure selected the correct 1/90 sync speed (lit both the 60 and 125 LEDs, meaning the speed was between them) and fired the SB-600, now I just have to wait for the roll to finish and see if the flash power was correct.
