All and Dave Parker,

Yesterday near Wichita, KS (actually in Rock,KS) I had an opportunity to use my new gg that I purchased from Dave at Satin Snow. I have it on my B&J 8x10. It is and was a pleasure to use. Very bright and it is easy to compose on the gg. I can only recommend that anyone serious about their largeformat photography contact Dave Parker at Satin Snow and order a gg for their cameras. I could not be more pleased. Thanks Dave for making a great product.

Don and I were out killing polyesters and we stopped at the metal grain elevator there and it is owned by the Mulvane Coop. Good stuff I think.

???????? Is this a Texas thing ????

I'd also like to put in a plug for Satinsnow for helping me disassemble and clean the ground glass on my new (to me) Toyo.

I have a leisure suit made entirely out of Polyester hide.
I don't like to think how many Polyesters gave their lives to make it.

It is is long way from you Scootermm. It is in Rock, KS. I was in Wichita to attend an opening of a photo show Don Miller was starring in. We spent several hours roaming over the Plains of Kansas that morning.

WIld Polyester no longer exists, it is all domestic now. Kind of a shame. In the Seventies, careless hunting wiped them out. I hear Biologists are planning to reintroduce the Nauga to the wild. Naugas were decimated in the fifties. Their hides covered diner seats. It is amazing the damage we humans will do to the environment in order to look "good"

My two cents worth,...I just received a 4x5 g.g. from Dave Parker this week: two months less a day after ordering it! He recently posted a notice on his web-site that he was a wee bit overwelmed by the large volume of orders. That being said, the g.g. looks great, and I'm hoping to try it out this weekend. I'll post info here once that's been done.
