BTW, I finally got my satin snow ground glass for the 7X17 Canham and had a chance to work with for a couple of weeks in Montana and Wyoming. Dave brought it down to me while I was at the Formulary and I put it on right away.
This is a very high quality ground glass, as many of you who already own satin snow screens know already. I found that it offered a definite improvement in both brightness and detail over a ground glass that I made from 400 grit aluminium oxide, and the glass I made is no slouch.
Anyway, thanks to Dave for a great product. Now if I can just keep from breaking the glass. I do this a lot, but might luck out here because I actually have a ground glass protector on the Canham.
