Her work has rarely been appreciated by photo critics, perhaps because she was pigeon-holed as a fashion photographer (I first saw her work in a girlfriend's Vogue magazine). Perhaps because she has a distinct personal vision.

She also had Todd Gangler make tri colour carbons for her... I absolutely love , love , love her work.. Sheila Meitzner as well who does use Fresson.. both Sarah and Shelia are pioneers in permanent print process with extremely well executed imagery

While these images look beautiful on my monitor i am guessig in person they must look absolutely stunning. thanks for posting these !

They caught my eye in Vogue Magazine, maybe 1980s (sensibilities of one of that era's girlfriends plus my enthusiasm for Irving Penn's work).

Vogue has always been an eye-opener photographically.

Yeah, I appreciate her willingness to express vulnerability and doubt. Her all-in-one-breath style of delivery was just right.

Curated by the artist for Fotografiska, At the still pointshowcases a selection of photographs, films and books produced over the last 30 years.
Highlighted within At the still point is an installation of 46 photographs and 6 fictional obituaries around a film: The Red Thread, based on Bluebeard, or La Barbe Bleue, a French folktale by Charles Perrault published in 1697."

As Gerard has noted, Sarah Moon had pigment prints made by Marc Bruhat while he operated his lab "Sillages" in Paris, France. Marc made these prints using the UltraStable pigment emulsions. Marc closed his lab about
two years ago(2003) and no longer does any printing. More recently, Sarah Moon has had her work printed by Adam Lowe and Mike Ward of PermaPrint, Ltd., in London. This new work is also printed with UltraStable pigment emulsions.

As Keith noted, clueless-ness remains too often associated with pigment printing. At present, Art & Soul, in Seattle, Washington, and PermaPrint, Ltd. in London offer UltraStable printmaking services. Ataraxia Studios also offer a pigment printmaking service with their own emulsions.
