I"m thinking about some time in September or October us locals (those within a 4 hour drive) meeting at the Cafe Chew in Sandwich, MA for a bite to eat/coffee and then going for a photo hike along the dunes at Sandy Neck. Keep this idea in the back of your minds...more details will emerge in a few weeks.
 
Too soon to commit also, but this sounds like fun!
 
Sounds fun..I'll have to wait and see what date is set before I can say yes or nay.
 
OK, I'll throw out three dates...(weekends) Sept 5th or 6th, Sept 26th or 27th or Oct 10th or 11th. I live here and can do it anytime (except for the time around Mid September as my third grandchild is arriving!) You throw out when you can come out....and we'll go with the majority.
 
I'm certainly endeavoring to get more involved "locally", so I may make it if it's the later Sept or Oct dates. I have an art residency the earlier part of Sept, where I hope to work on photography and some writing.

I'm really impressed there's a place called Cafe Chew in a town called Sandwich.
 
Only the Oct dates are free for me at this time.

I'd really like to go and meet some of the folks here. I'll make it if I can.

My wife might be on call those weekends (she doesn't know her schedule yet). The 3rd is taken up by a circus visit we've bought tickets for (for the kids, honest).

So I'm in it to win it pending my wife's schedule for either the 4th or either of the 12th or 13th.
 
Let's go with the 4th of October. How about 0830 hrs? I could do earlier but I'm just down the road a piece. To Sandy neck right after...we'll walk along the southside dunes (marsh to the right, dunes to the left). Early or late the north sky records as dark in the fall...Nice!

I think we might be rained out...but look here for a final decision Saturday night.
 
Ok, let's do this tomorrow...start at the Cafe Chew in Sandwich. At the very least...we'll have breakfast!
 
OK, so the film back I was using on this lovely day has a light leak, much more apparent in sunlight than in my alleged studio, and so, and so, I guess I'll try to fix it. And right now I'm halfway through a roll of 220 in the same back. Hmmm.
 
It would be gauche, of course, but I see some electrical tape in your future. At least until you get to the end of that roll.
