I've recent taken steps back from gear acquisition to take a look at other photographer's work to get myself inspired to create a vision that's bigger than my "gear".
My wife purchased this book for me back in 2010 and I have to admit that at first I wasn't too sure what to see in the images. A few years later, (present day), I've looked at Sam Abell's work again in this book and it seems like all of a sudden there's more significance to it. I read his narrative and I'm beginning to understand what he means.

Anyways, Sam Abell is a photographer that I've learned to enjoy.

Likewise.

Abell's monographs are all terrific. If you can find an affordable copy of "The Photographic Life", I think it is his finest. Check out the number of terrific long form videos of Abell on YouTube, as well.
