I just listed for sale an 8x10 studio Rembrandt and am now listing 5 reducing backs that that came originally with the camera.

These reducing backs will fit the 8x10 Rembrandt, 8x10 B&J field camera and the 8x10 Grover monorail. All three cameras were made by Burke & James of Chicago, Ill.. Basically they are variations of the 8x10 B&J, the Rembrandt having a fixed front standard and the Grover mounted on a monorail. The only thing that hasn't changed is the battleship gray paint

In the last three photos, you can see the company name inscribed on various camera parts. Some of the backs have a felt lining where the back makes contact withe the camera body. On the one marked 'Grover', parts of the felt ribbon need to be reglued.

I have indicated the prices next to the respective back.

Shipping is extra, from Canada. Payment to be made through Paypal. 2% goes to APUG. 10% off the price if you buy more than one item, and that includes the 8x10 Rembrandt and 8" Packard shutter. These are listed in today's offerings.

8x10>5x7, $75

8x10>5x7 removable, The 5x7 part can be removed from the 8x10 back, $75

8x10>5x7 sliding back that splits into two 3½x5 images, $75

8x10>4x5 sliding back that splits into two 2½x4" images, $65

8x10>2¼x3¼", $55

Postage is extra.

I also have a 8x10 Rembrandt and a 8"sq Packard shutter that where all originally part of one acquisition four years ago. These are listed separately in today's offerings.

If you have any questions, please ask. Thank you.

As you uploaded a similar thread with all these backs plus another one:

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

this one here better should be closed.

It would be confusing otherwise.

The other one is a mistake. I wrote 6 instead of 5 reducing backs in the caption. I made th correction in the text but forgot to change it in the caption. Anyway, unknowingly, I somehow now had two ads for the same item. In vain, I searched for a delete button but nothing. So I locked the other one. Is there a way of closing the other one?

Several people have sent PM's requesting the dimensions of the reducing backs.

The dimensions are as follows:
The outer dimensions of the reducing backs is 11½" sq (293mm) ; distance between the pins, 260mm; from pin center to pin center, 263mm.

Just a reminder that these boards were made by Burke & James for their 8x10 cameras, the 810 Rembrandt Studio, 810 B&J field, and 810 Grover monorail.
