Safelights during emulsion making - I do not get it!

When working with red sensitive dye, I AM one of those guys who uses night vision goggles. The prices are high. But do not make the mistake that I made. To save money I bought a night vision Monocle . That causes poor or no depth perceptions. You may end up pouring yorr emulsion on your shoes.
