I noticed that in the RZ Pro II user manual it says that you have to use low voltage (12v or less) flash trigger voltage (although it doesn't say anything about that in the RZ67 user manual). It doesn't specify, and I',m wondering if it is only referring to the hot shoe mount on the camera body, or if it's also referring to the PC socket on the lens. Is it safe to use older flashes with higher trigger voltage connected to the lens when using the Pro II body?

To be safe, I would assume the PC socket has the same voltage limitations as the hot shoe. On older purely manual cameras, the only thing you could do if the flash circuit went awry and high voltage bled to the trigger circuit would be to fry the contacts in the lens which could be repaired without robbing a bank. On electronic cameras like the RZ it would be very expensive. I route mine through a pocketwizard even when I'm not using a remote, because it limits the voltage to the camera. Worst case, it's still a lot cheaper to fry the wizard than the RZ.
