Just read over on the Large Format forum that Ruth Bernhard passed away at age 101.

101.....I'ld say that was long enough. RIP

It is truly a sad day, but she had a long and fantastic life. That we could all say the same about ourselves when it is our time.

The light has dimmed.

Ruth was a major force in our field. I had the pleasure of meeting her several times. One time, we sat and talked about Edward Weston. Now, she is with Edward and the rest of Group 64.
The one quote I'll remember her by was "Today is the day". Tomorrow, I'll raise a pint to her and her wonderful energy.
