Hey all!

I ran out of my recent bottle of rodinal, and all I have is a 1/2 full 5 year old bottle of it [white container, Agfa, not agfaphoto], and I'm using that.

I was wondering should I stick with that, or try something different?

I would like a liquid, and I'm looking at T-MAX, for more speed.

Also, side note: What photo subjects to shoot while biking?

Thanks!

It's your choise, of course.

I have a half-full bottle of Rodinal that I doubt I'll ever finish. At present I'm using Ilfotec HC, and I'm really happy with that.

I have had very nice results with Neopan 400 in Rodinal 1/50. Both 135 and 120 @400
I have also tried Rodinal for FP4+ (never managed to get that one right) Delta400 (works fine) And Efke 25 (Wauv)
I have tried Diafine for Neopan (bad choice) and Pan F (works great)
If you like what you get stick with that.
Im not sure I would recommend photographing when riding a bike :D
Kind regards
Søren

The Rodinal developer is again produced. At the same German plant as before. Under the same old name and under the Agfa brand (licenced).

Also the Orwo developer R09 is also still produced in Germany under the name Calbe R09.

If you like the RODINAL, it's still available, you can fill your bath tub with it, if you want! Take a look at www.mahn.net

Regards:wink:

You might want to consider Fomadon R09, if it's available in Canada. It's actually an older formula of Rodinal (1940s or 1950s era, I believe), so you should have very similar results with it to the Rodinal you're currently using.

If you don't mind the drive into Toronto, Downtown Camera when I was last in there three weeks ago had bottles of Rodinal on the shelf.

 I was in Toronto yesterday, but didn't get the chance. I'll call my local Henrys and see if I can get some more locally.
