Round 9: Signup & Pre-Launch Discussion

Why is it that some people always seem determined to ram their opinion past everyone else?
 
Hey All. So here are the lists & the cameras. Perhaps not the most efficient list possible, but both cameras have to go international. We also want to make sure there are no concerns or issues with those who have to incur additional postage costs to ship overseas, so please PM me if you have any concerns. I understand some are being asked to pay more postage relative to others. I am willing to share in the costs of postage for anyone shipping international. Again, PM me.

We're just waiting for one more person to confirm address & participation.

We will start a new thread in a couple of days to announce the Official Round 9 launch. This will include the final lists and the rules of engagement. Both cameras are small, and both are very good and well-regarded P&S cameras. We'll call them Camera #1 and Camera #2 until someone comes up with names for them.

Awesome to hear! Thanks again for taking the time to set this up for cameras 9.1 and 9.2. Excited for another round, and looking forward to reading the comments in the coming camera 9 thread.
 
Ahh, poor, lonely old me in Japan -- glad to see I'm making camera 1 a little more international! ;-)
 
What, no underwear theme And what about names for the cameras. Is that idea dead? Seems to me that with names like 9.1 and 9.2 the finishing order is already determined
 
How about Fred and Ethel, Lucy and Ricky, Mutt and Jeff, Nip and Tuck, Hop and Skip, Him and Her/She and He, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Pete and Repeat, Dis'n and Dat'n, Groucho and Harpo, Rhett and Scarlett, Hope and Pray (as in "they don't get lost"), Ap and Ug, or...

...or maybe my ideas are just dumb and dumber.

I forgot 'Spirit' and 'Opportunity', though as only one is chuggin' along now, maybe not...

A few months ago I sent a package to Japan and was surprised about the low costs. So if needed, I would take the part to send from the European tour over to US for camera - which name we do not know - #2 (this is btw my proposal for a name )

Oh, we're supposed to do without underwear when shooting? I sure hope I don't get stopped by the police again.

For the names, I vote too for Hope and Pray

BTW, with what kind of film the cameras will be loaded ?
