If you mean a solution of 1000 ml, my ballpark figures says four sheets, based on that I do four 35 mm rolls (36 frames) or 8 sheets of 4x5 in that amount of solution. But then again, I don't develop 8x10 so the figure may be off the wall - I am just extrapolating...

Sean,

that's a tricky question.

I read that you will use 10ml of Rodinal. That would be enough for, say, max. 2 sheets. I'd suggest stand development for that.

Best is to try it.

One thing that is sure: discard the solution after use. Rodinal is a one shot developer.

I usually do 4 4x5 sheets at a time with 7,5ml Rodinal in 2000ml water. 1 hour total, 1 minute initial agiation, again about halfway development time.

Greetings,
G

Question for stand-development afficianados... is stand or semi-stand normally done with the film vertical, like in hangars, or horizontal, like in a slosher?

I would make that calculation the same way Jerevan does, but if you're doing it in 11x14" trays, shuffling rather than doing stand development, you'll probably want more like 1.5-2 litres just to have enough solution to work comfortably.
