just curious if anyone has an estimate of how many sheets of 8x10 I could process with 1000ml of rodinal at 1:100? Wondering at what point I should refresh the chem.. Thanks
If you mean a solution of 1000 ml, my ballpark figures says four sheets, based on that I do four 35 mm rolls (36 frames) or 8 sheets of 4x5 in that amount of solution. But then again, I don't develop 8x10 so the figure may be off the wall - I am just extrapolating...
Question for stand-development afficianados... is stand or semi-stand normally done with the film vertical, like in hangars, or horizontal, like in a slosher?
I would make that calculation the same way Jerevan does, but if you're doing it in 11x14" trays, shuffling rather than doing stand development, you'll probably want more like 1.5-2 litres just to have enough solution to work comfortably.
