Rolliecord model?

Hallo, new to site and just bought a rolliecord for 35 euro, not sure what model this is, and there doesn't seem to be f stop indicators or speed indicator on side of camera, am I supposed to Devine the stops and speed, maybe not the best purchase...help!

Hi there, no not my model, dosent have the emblem on top of view finder, I think maybe a IIIc, not sure number in top of camera 919042

With both Roleicords and Roleiflex models, at least up to the 1950's, which is as far as I go, no click stops, with Rolleicords up to the 4 shutter speed are found on the right of the lens panel and F stops on the right side, later than 4, the 5 a and b they used the RV method, you will find the EV on the right side of the lens panel and the shutter speeds and stops on the left are you sure about the serial number, My 5a 1923712 and the last model Rolleicord, the Vb, only goes to around 2677534, so the serial number you quote is way to high, as far as the emblem on the focusing hood, they did not all have it, early models certainly did not, and I have a Rolleiflex Automat from the 50's that does not have an emblem on the hood, The serial number on Rolleis is just below the Rolleicord name in the middle,

If the serial number is 919042 and it has a 3,5 Triotar, then it probably is a Rolleicord II, typ 4. Year or production: 1939.

Thanks so much for all responses . It is a rolliecord III type 4.. it seems difficult to know what speed you are setting w no click stops, I think the Sutter is stuck at low speed.

No, It's a II, type 4. It looks like this, correct? http://rolleiflex.hu/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/DSC5695.jpg

Just center the shutter speed in the window. With this Compur shutter you can also set intermediate speeds, except between 1/10 and 1/25 and 1/100 and 1/300. The aperture is step-less.

Not certain about your model, but many Rolleicords have the aperture and shutter speed connected. I seem to remember one 'Cord where you need to push in one knob or another to get it to move? Try pulling and pushing the shutter knob gently while trying to change it.

That feature came much later, in the mid production of the Rolleicord Va.

The Rolleicord in the picture is a Rolleicord V, maybe a Va, no earlier. Focusing knob is on the opposite side.of the camera from the film winding knob, otherwise it works like most other Rolleicords. The Rolleicord V had a film counter that could be changed to match different formats that the camera was capable of. Quality camera.......Regards!

I have never heard of a Rolleicord IIIc. only a Rolleicord III and a Rolleicord IV. I have heard of Rolleicord Va, etc. however. If your camera does not have a coated lens, it is a Rolleicord II or earlier. I have owned a Rolleicord III and now own a Rolleicord IV........Regards!

You have paid the correct price according to me. Both the lens have bayonet 1 mounts and Rolleinars will fit nicely

The D E S C R B T I O N (manual) is to a Roleicord Va macfred!

PS : It isn't such easy - so I can feel with the OP! I remember a portrait shooting for a band I made
with 35mm Nikon and Pentax 67 and as it was finished the manager of the band gave me a loaded
Ikaflex with HP5 and told me : Come on - shot " some making of pictures of me and the singer" !
It was the antique camera of his father!
I remember I said : Just a moment pls. - but the answer was : Hey I was informed about that you are a real photographer - are you not - so hurry up man because "TIME IS MONEY"!

An Ikaflex from unknown date and unknown function A N D : " Time is money "...

.....ähmm sorry forgetting to state ( the Film was loaded from his father obviously more than a decade ago) and the enlargments from this shots were fine. ( 3+ ) ...!

I did operate the Ikaflex within 3 minutes.Concerning my band shooting he mentioned the day later : "THIS GUY IS OK. " ?

So we are friends now!

I sent rolliecord, back, the Sutter was all funky, stuck, I think the cock was bent beyond repair, but no problem to return, and I'm waiting on a new purchase of a Yashica D we will how this goes, always a crap shoot w eBay...
