I'm looking into getting the new version of the Tele Rolleiflex. I understand that it has a Bay IV lens. Did Rollei ever decide to create any Rolleinars for it or the superwide?

Yes, since the TELE does not focus that close, there was a cool 'flip away' Rolleinar set made specifically for the TELE.

Yes but that is bay 3 for the old tele. The new tele is bay 4 and I don't know what is available.

From scampering around the net, it appears that there are some kind of rolleinars for the Wide and Tele, but, again, it's kind of ghost-like.

The new Tele is still Bay III, correct me if I'm wrong. Bay IV is for the wide rolleiflex

OOps, you are right, that new one is bay IV... probably not needed anymore because of the closer focusing.

ic-racer, looks like that there is such a thing as a Bay IV. I went ahead and picked up an old tele. I found one that is in perfect shape (to my wallet's chagrin). Should be a lot of fun.

Now to set the record straight for anyone that searches this topic, the old Tele was Bay IV and the new tele is also Bay IV.

Good job on getting the Tele. Post pictures if you can!

I believe it is called the 1.5x Rollei - Mutar and is for Bay 2 or 3

No. The Mutar attaches to a regular Rolleiflex
to give it a longer (or shorter, depending on
model) foral length. It is not a close-up
attachment.

Now to set the record straight for anyone that searches this topic, the old Tele was Bay IV and the new tele is also Bay IV.

No. the Old Tele is a Bay III design. I have
two Teles, and I use my Bay III attachments
on them all the time.

Oops, you are right, that new one is bay IV... probably not needed anymore because of the closer focusing.

A Rolleinar is always a useful tool -- they are
routinely used on all Rolleiflexes.

New Rollei-Wides use Bay IV attachments.
