OK guys,

I was searching on Flea Bay searching for Rolleinar lens. There were a couple that just said Rolleinar 2..? There is no Bay number. OK..? so what Bay's are they? They are pretty reasonable.

If it doesn't say, it's PROBABLY a bay 1, as those were the most common. Look carefully at the photos of the Rolleinar - they may have a roman numeral I, II or III on the front ring where it indicates which Rolleinar it is. A bay 3 Rolleinar 2 would say "Rolleinar 2 III" for example. But they changed this marking over time, so that may not hold true. When in doubt, buy one that is clearly marked in the listing which it is, AND buy one that has a return privilege. Or find one at KEH.

I picked up a Rolleinar 2 set (Bay 1) last week off ebay, they are quite strong close up filters and can go for quite high prices (far more than I paid). I'm looking for the Rolleinar 1 set now as the 2 is too strong for close portraits.

The full set is two close up filters and the parallax corrector for the viewing lens in a leather case.

I've got all three Rolleinar sets for my 3.5F, but I use the no. 2 the most by far. They can be expensive, but there does not seem to be any drop in image quality with them. I'd say the close-up lenses are my most used Rolleiflex accessories after the lens hood.
