I am selling a Rolleikin C, cased, complete, and in very good condition. The Rolleikin C is designed to adapt the Rollieflex 2.8C, 2.8D, or 2.8E models (only) to use standard 35mm film.

This use of the Rolleikin allows a number of interesting possibilities, one of them is to open up the use of your Rolleiflex to a much wider variety of film emulsions than are available in 120 size (especially these days).

Several very good videos are available on YouTube which explain how to use this accessory. Installation and removal is simple, and it will turn your Rolleiflex 2.8 (C-E) into a precision 35mm TLR with an unequalled optics!

Please note that I only ship once per week to avoid unnecessary COVID-19 exposure, so please be patient with shipping times.

Price: $60 plus shipping. I ship to most countries. PayPal or personal checks.

Where is the counter knob? IMO this kit can't be complete without the knob. I've seen dozens of these units for sale on the big site without the knob, which makes them useless if the camera does not already have the counter knob attached. Finding a complete kit as originally sold by Rollei with the knob is very rare and costly. Your unit is a fair price if your camera already has the counter knob.

Randy, you are laboring under a fairly common misconception, which is not unusual considering the huge number of nuanced differences between models in the Rolleiflex sphere. The Rolleikin C is designed for the 2.8C, 2.8D, and 2.8E models and I believe one early version of the Rolleiflex Tele model. These cameras were all sold with counter knobs installed as part of their standard equipment. The counter knob is not an accessory for these models. To elaborate on this, the Rolleikin C was targeted specifically for the 2.8C model, but the D and E models, released later, are identical insofar as their Rolleikin compatibility. Whether or not this kit would work on other Rolleiflex models with a user suppled counter knob, I have no idea or not, but that is a problem for someone wanting to experiment. And, BTW, my price is quite fair, although I will consider reasonable offers.

Thanks for the info, Dave- I have a D and an E, and I always thought some previous owner had left a bit of a Rolleikin behind! Now I know.

The counter is a rotating dial with calibration marks that, when present, is visible on the outside of the camera. From the perspective of a photographer holding the camera and facing a subject, the counter knob is on the left.

See the item marked "33" on the image below from the Rolleiflex 2.8C manual (found on the Mike Butkus website). The counter is similar to those found on a Leica or a Contax from the same era: it rotates after each film advance, and the user must reset it to 0 after loading film.

You should buy it, then. Dave wasn’t kidding when he said he’s offering at a great price. It’s a FANTASTIC price. And 35mm in a Rollie is a fun experience!
