Hello everybody.

I've come across this camera that seems to have an obstructed threaded hole.
Do you know what it might be?

It's hard, I've tried to punch through it with some pointy tweezers and managed to bend the tip of the tweezers

Thanks

The most likely obstruction in a threaded hole is a broken screw. That could mean that the screw became locked in the female threads due to corrosion. Or someone could have applied a strong thread-locking compound onto the screw before installing and tightening it. If so, then it broke when attempting to remove it.

That looks like it could be epoxy. JB Weld maybe. I wouldn't doubt if the screw broke off like Ian says, and then someone tried epoxying the screw stub hoping it would stay.

If you have small drill bits, drill a hole in the center. Start about 2/3 or so of the diameter. If you get a hole, you can often take a small screwdriver or such and unscrew the epoxy or crack it in place and then it can be dug out much easier.

That hole goes through int othe mirror box so remember to open the screen adnd give a little dusting for the scraps that find their way in.
