I was doing some night photography and my rolleiflex t has the option of 1 s and up to 60 s. however it was obvious that was not working. has anyone encountered that they work? is it worth sending in to fix? I have a one year guarantee still. the seller said no rollei does more than 1 s.
also I can't find the b for bulb mode.
how do you use the bulb mode? with a cable release that locks?

what does time exposure by hand mean? so you measure it by counting the time? does it actually make any difference if you have it on 8 s or 60 s. I guess bulb is everything above 1s.

The Rolleiflex T has a neatly expanded EV scale beyond B so that you can get a direct estimate of the exposure time required for long exposures. So all Greens beyond 1s are shutter speeds for which you should manually hold the shutter open for the indicated time.
I love the Rolleiflex T. It may not be the Pro of the Rolleiflex cameras, but for sure it has a great lens and the best looks of the series.
(though I might stick my neck out for a 2.8  )

that explains it. I also love the camera. the photos are simply amazing. I've taken mainly black and white so I can't say much for the colour. there seems to be vivid discussion reg planar vs tessar. but I love the feel.

one is taken on orwo np15 pushed to fifty. it's old and expired so has leaks but renders wonderful grey tones.

I love My T model. Like everyone said. It doesn't have the robust feeling of the pro models, but sure does render a nice tack sharp image.

One thing that still prevents me to go for T is the belt that connects the mechanism inside. That said it is the weakest in T. Me looking a good, working and clean MX-EVS model.

Not sure what do they say this. The number of failed Ts I have came across is the same as any other Rolleiflex. And from the failed ones almost all of them have problematic shutters mostly stuck open due to being neglected for quite long under humidity and dirt. Actually it is the same reason of failure as for all other Rolleiflex cameras.
My dad's T is in use since 1962 and it is the only camera he has been using regularly since then. I could not get him to give me his and thus I have bought my very own, a like new grey Type I.
Use it with care and it will never fail you.

Just curious. What is this belt you speak of?

I can't find the picture of it but there is a belt to set aperture and shutter instead of gears...

Impressive! Reading that he had received it as a kit in a bag!
