I recently got a Rolleiflex SLX kit (1st gen) and I'm testing it out. Not with film yet. It is behaving weirdly in manual mode for long shutter speeds. From 1/8s and more the diaphragm doesn't close properly. For a split second it stops down but then opens up a bit or goes wide open for the rest of the exposure time. Same for bulb. I'm guessing that's not normal?
It seems to stop down properly in AE mode. Testing at ISO 25 indoors I can get it to 8s f/16-22. Switching to manual at same aperture will work, but if I switch to higher ISO it uses to a lower f/stop in spite of the manual aperture setting.
It's as if the manual mode is linked to the AE reading? Maybe some Rolleiflex users can check?
BTW I've rebuilt a battery with a LiPo cell, so hopefully the issue is not related to that. It behaves the same way with the NiCd battery. Thanks to @ic-racer and @JWMster for the tutorials in past threads. Quite lighter.
