A year ago, I picked up an old Rolleiflex SL66. It's only recently that I have been able to test it out

Some of the rolls seem to have two or three frame overlaps. I have two backs and I made a note of which film was in which back. There is no consistency al all. Sometimes I get a perfectly spaced roll, other times I get the overlap :wondering:

Any suggestions? Should the backs be overhauled?

Get the film back CLA's. That solves the problem for Hasselblads and I strongly suspect that is the least expensive way to solve your problem.

“Load the film exactly according to the manual, then your problem will go away!” is the answer Mr Paepke (SL66 tech service in Germany) gave me to the exact same question. The SL66 is a little special, have you checked?

OK, I like that answer! I will keep testing with more care! The SL66 seems to be quite special. Even though I am quite familiar with the Hasselblad V system, this is a totally different beast with quirks
