Just wanted to provide a positive experience with Harry Fleenor. I sent him a bit of a mess of a 3.5F Planar I had picked up. Bent feet, shutter and transport issues. Broken film door catch and it turns out some lens separation on the viewing lens. Camera came back exceptional. Well worth the wait (I think they are going on 6 months back order). I highly recommend his services. Ran a roll through it and I’m grateful to be back in possession of a Rolleiflex!

I will second that. Thank goodness, I had my 'T' done before he quit doing them. It is perfect still after many (maybe 12 years) years.

Did he fix the lens separation?
I can’t see it and I know what I’m looking for. In his receipt, he states upon disassembly found slight separation on rear taking lens group.

This positive experience is very helpful. I received a 2.8F from a dealer that had in its description, "CLA'd" in 2022 but the price was very reasonable for the condition. Not having shot a TLR before, I've read that the Rolleiflex were very smooth, as much as classic Leica Ms. This camera did not feel smooth at all so I dropped it off at Oceanside Camera Repair this morning. Harry checked it out and was surprised by how un-smooth it was. He estimated 2 months to get the camera back but at least I dropped off in person and can pick it up so won't have to worry about shipping.

On drop off, there was a much younger man working at the bench and both were quite friendly and personable. Harry actually emailed me the estimate the day after which was nice and quick. From reading other posts, I understand Harry's son works there as well.

Others can correct me, but I infer that the repairs performed by his son have “Harry Fleenor IV” on the final repair form in the section that states the work done.
