I just opened the door to my Rolleiflex and realised that there was freshly loaded film inside!
The counter sits at 1 so will I have lost the first 1 or 2 frames?
I am hoping that the backing paper will have at least protected some of the roll or not?
Never happened to me in decades of Rollei use until now..
Opinions or experience with a similar mishap most welcome.

It depends how long the door was open and the illumination level when you opened the door. If you were inside and it was only 2 or 3 seconds, you may get away with just the loss of two or three frames.

I was inside but under a light bulb. The door may have been opened for a little more than that. I froze in shock!
I may just continue from frame 6 just to be on the safe side or cut my losses and use the roll for tests. At least no
exposures have been ruined..

A quick update: I decided to expose the whole roll out of curiosity and only the first two frames were fogged. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't more.

First two frames are gone and I wouldn't shoot anything special for no. 3. The rest will be fine.

pretty much and the edges of all other frames might be slightly fogged. It's one of those things that makes analog interesting

The light damage should be limited by nature of the film being rolled in paper.
