I’ve emailed Mark Hansen and Dan Daniels about Rolleiflex TLR service and haven’t gotten a reply.

Specifically I’ve got a nice clean little 3.5A that would love a CLA, mirror replacement, and maybe even a bright screen.

What are some other known professionals that are currently working and taking customers?

I live in Wisconsin close to Chicago but don’t care I’ll send cameras anywhere.

Thanks!

Harry Fleenor at rolleirepairs.com

I’m pretty sure he’s still in business—his website is still up. Technically Oceanside Cameras in Manhattan Beach CA.

Oceanside is still in business, but it's apparently Harry's son has been doing the work for the last few years.
Harry was the best, and his prices were high... but the work was impeccable. I'm not sure i wouldn't currently choose someone else.....You're likely looking at $750+ with a new screen.

Is it possible you used an erroneous email address for Dan. I asked because humus name appears to be “Dan Daniel”, with no s. His website has a phone number; perhaps an alternative approach to contact him.

Just be a bit patient, it might take a couple of days for some of those technicians to get back to you. I have used Dan Daniel and Paul Ebel on my Rolleiflex and other TLTRs, and they have provided excellent services to me.

Correction: you haven't gotten a reply YET. When electronically interacting with highly popular camera repair people, you must approach email similar to USPS: 3 days one way, 3 days back. Business days.

And remember, an email sent is not necessarily an email received.

In any event, I would try using that old standby, the telephone. Yes, it takes a bit more effort, but in my mind it indicates a bit more seriousness than an email.

Just to add a note, I have also used Dan Daniel and Paul Ebel for Rollei TLR repairs and I’ve been pleased with the results from both of these gentlemen.

Advance Camera in Beaverton, OR (just outside of Portland) overhauled my MX-EVS that looked (and acted) like it had been dragged behind a car for 40 years, and they did a fabulous job with it for a very reasonable price.

Beware of Mark Hansen. He promised to return a repaired camera a month ago, but no camera, no tracking, and he won't answer my emails or letters.
I find out he is being sued by at least one other person who had the same experience as I am having now.

Same issue here, has camera, paid for the service and no camera returned. No response to emails and it’s been months.

ProPhoto in Washington DC services Rolleiflexes. I've had all three of mine (2x 2.8E, 1x Tele) serviced there. They're not the cheapest in the world, but their turnaround time has been excellent (I often get stuff back from them in less than 3 weeks, including the time to evaluate/quote the price).
