Rolleiflex Bay VI to 67mm filter adapters?

Hello APUG. I have a rolleiflex 50mm f/4 lens on the way. It appears that from the photos of the item that it does not accept standard screw type filters. So i will have to use a adapter. I have a generic bay IV adapter on it's way from china to to use with my existing 67mm UV filters. But i do have a few questions. With the adapter and a filter what lens hood can i use? Will i be able to use the Moose's style circular polarizer with out any vignetting?

The filter adapter should fit on the inside bayonet and the lenshood on the outside bayonet. I had that same lens you are getting for many years and only recently upgraded to the PQ lens just to get wide-open metering. The older lens is a great performer.

Thanks for the info. What do you mean by wide-open metering? I assume that the lens can work in "A" mode which is really a shutter priority mode, i have a rollei 6002 that i plan to use it on.

6002 is a nice camera, upgraded version of the SLX I had for almost 20 years. These cameras need to stop the lens down to take a meter reading. When in Auto mode it does this real quick before it exposes the film. Otherwise whenever you want to check the exposure you have to press the meter button and the camera stops down and reads the aperture it will likely use for the exposure opposite the needle on the lens.

When they designed the 6008i they went to a 'wide-open' metering system where it shows the meter reading in the viewfinder all the time as you twist the aperture ring if using a PQ lens. The older non-PQ lenses still work on the 6008i using the 'stop down' mode like the older cameras.

You have a fantastic camera and the perfect lens for it. I kept most of my non-PQ lenses (except the 50mm and 80mm) when I moved from the SLX to the 6008i, they still work fine using the older metering method; is not that big of a deal.
