Ok, this may be a longshot, but sometimes you are lucky:

I have a 6008i, but I suspect that the problem lies in the 120 back which I believe is shared by all 600X cams. The thing is: When I have taken shot 12 (on a 120 film), it does not wind to the end automaticly. I have to shoot consecutive shots until it feels like it is *there*. Off course this is not a total show shopper, but for me it is *very* annoying to find that I am out of film AFTER I just shot the best one.
As I said, I suspect that it is the back that is not telling the cam that shot 12 has been fired, but I don´t have another back to test it with.
Does anybody have any experience with such behaviour? Any ideas?

I never experience that with my 6008i, but it is very likely that the back is at fault. You can try to manually advance the film in the magazine and check the contacts. Being also in copenhagen, I don't mind to meet and try swapping back to help you diagnose the problem.

My backs work reliably, the only thing I´ve heard
is to make sure that the lever for the darkslide is
really down at the bottom of the two slots, as not beeing
down may cause problems with the filmtransport.
Good luck !

Noumin's advice is right on. I'd also encourage you to check the condition of the film insert itself. There are two "C" retaining clips, one on each end, on the inside of the insert where the plastic drive gear is. If one is missing, there is extra drag on the film transport. Also make sure you are not using an SLX insert in a 6000 series back. (6000 series inserts have a solid white triangle on the _outside_ of the insert as the film lineup mark. SLX inserts have a hollow white triangle on the _inside_ of the insert.) If all of this is fine, see if you can find someone with a MaHa charger or similar and do a discharge/charge cycle on your battery to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks guys. Luckily they had a 6000 back at a local shop here, so I was able to test the body with the other back. The other back did rewind at last frame as it should, so now I know that the problem resides in the back itself. First thing will be to check the electrical contact points.

EDIT: Ok, I found something: I dismounted the pressure plate (two big screws) and under there is a wire that should be soldered to the back of the pressure plate. This wire had come off. So tomorrow I will get my soldering iron and put it in place. I think the odds are good for that solving the problem.

Wire under pressure plate re-soldered. Problem solved. Vive la DIY!
@Jeff: Thanks a lot for your offer. That would have been usefull if Photografica had not had the back to try out.

Excellent, glad it is solved, and another thing to look for in future troubleshooting.

BTW if the darkslide is not all the way down, I just get the message: "SLIdE" and shooting is not possible. The first time this happened was out in the sun, and I could not really make out what the letters said and I was really puzzled that I could not shoot.
I find that it happens quite a lot, but I suppose that is just one of those routines you have to learn: "Darkslide down? Check." The little price you pay for a brilliant darkslide system. Another little thing I have to get used to is inserting the "film info note" BEFORE closing up and winding to first frame.

Well, that´s the difference (or one of the differences) between a 6008i and its´poorer sister, the 6001, where you only have a red light and then you´re on your own to find out what´s wrong. But it´s as you say, you end up checking it routinely.
