For sale is a late version Rolleiflex 3.5E, serial number 18657**, making it a Type 2 from circa 1958-59. This one has the excellent Schneider Xenotar taking lens. This one comes without the built-in exposure meter that some of the 3.5Es came with. This one has a new Rick Oleson bright screen which is very bright corner to corner and has a large microprism spot that pops in and out of focus very decisively.
Cosmetically this camera is in excellent condition with only light signs of use. All leather is intact, and there are no dents or dings on the body. Functionally the camera is perfect, as it had a CLA in December 2018 from Bill Moretz at ProCamera. The shutter speeds are all good, the self timer runs smoothly without any hesitation, the depth of field scale linkage to aperture is good, and the focus and transport mechanisms are silky smooth. Bill installed the Oleson screen and calibrated the focus at that time. The taking and viewing lenses are clean and clear and free of any cleaning marks, haze, fungus or other blemishes.
Included with the camera are a hinged lens cap, the leather case with shows wear but is functional, and an aftermarket strap with the scissors clips. I will also include the original focusing screen and the CLA paperwork.
$750 shipped in the CONUSA. PayPal preferred, and I will cover the fees. I will ship abroad, but you will have to cover the cost of trackable shipping.
