Rolleiflex 3.5E Type 1 Planar

I have for sale this beautiful Rolleiflex 3.5 E Type 1 with the 80mm Planar.

The camera is in good shape and it has very recently serviced by my camera mechanic that just works on this old machines. This piece is not in mint condition, but it is a camera that produces excellent 6x6 negatives and it is a reliable camera and a joy of a machine to use and admire.

Mechanical Condition: Camera was serviced, has a fresh CLA, but the lightmeter could not be repaired and also as you can see on the (pic 4) the lightmeter cover is partially broken, something easily fixable by replacing the cover if you came a cross with a replacement.

Cosmetics: The camera has some signs of use, it has a ding on the lower left corner facing the camera left (Pic 6), the leather is in OK condition, other else seems OK.

Glass condition: Very good condition, no fungus or scratches or any coating fainting.

Comes with the original Lenses Cap and the Everyready case.

Asking 400 euros plus shipping and Paypal.

Per this chart at the same site one person calls it a C and two others an E.

This site is pretty well-regarded and they call it an E too:

And lastly Harry Fleenor's site calls it an E as well:

I have this model too (1753xxx) and I call it an E. So there!

I have a 2.8C Xenotar as well and the C is a different in some ways: plastic used for some components where metal was used in other models, and the wheels turn the other way on the speeds and apertures plus on the C there's metal lock mechanisms that must be pushed down to turn those wheels. Yours has none of that.

Now I have no idea if the 2.8 and 3.5 C were identical in these aspects but I do know that the 2.8C is considered at least mildly not as well built. That said they are still great cameras.
