Hi,
I am a newbie when it comes to TLRs and so I have question regarding two behaviors I observe on a Rolleiflex 2.8F that I am not sure if they are normal or not:
  • In order for the Bulb time to work I have to set the shutter speed to a green 60. Any green number other than 60 results in exposure like 1/60 or shorter. After I set shutter speed to a green 60 any green number results in Bulb time until I return to red times (1sec. or shorter).
  • I cannot set ASA higher than 400 if the filter factor wheel is set to 0. The filter factor wheel has to be set to 2 in order to set ASA 1600.
Are these behaviors normal or should the camera be serviced?

These behaviors are not normal. The green 2 to 60 settings should result in bulb exposure all the time; full range of ASA settings should be available at any filter factor. On my 3.5F the ASA wheel needs a firm push to turn.

Any green speed should be B.
Yes, you should be able to select any ISO at any EV compensation, even 0.

Most likely the front cover was wrongly installed by the last person who opened and/or parts are missing inside.
