For sale is a very nice late model Rolleicord Vb, serial number Vb 2656043, making this a Type 2 from sometime after 1968. The lens is a Schneider Xenar, similar to a Zeiss Tessar.
The camera has some minor finish loss marks, primarily on the corners of the back, but is in otherwise in excellent condition. There are no dents or dings, and the viewing and taking lenses are clean and free of fungus, haze, cleaning marks or other blemishes. All functions work perfectly and are as smooth as silk. Frame spacing is good, shutter speeds are good based on film results, the self timer works, and the lens is a very nice performer.
I have installed a bright Rick Oleson screen which has a rangefinder spot surrounded by a fine ground glass ring. I will also include the original screen, which is quite good in its own right, being a relatively late model. Also included in the sale are a Rollei lens cap, a Vb manual and the Rolleicord leather case with attached strap (note I neglected to include the case in the photos, but you will get it). The case has some scuffs but the stitching is all solid, and the case is perfectly functional. Also please note that the camera includes the hard-to-find shutter release extension, which really improves the ergonomics in use.
The Rolleicord Vb with case, manual and lens cap is $350 firm, plus trackable shipping from zip code 94517. PayPal preferred, and I will cover the fees.
