As you cannot change number of frames per roll, I guess you can make a mask to make a 6.45 image on a 6X6 frame, the mask needs to be placed behind the lens in front of the film. I have drawn a masking line with a grease pencil so I can gage what a 8X10 will look like when cropped, one line vertical another horizontal.

Is there a 6x45 mask for these or other TLRs?

Depends. Some of the later Rolliecords have the ability to install a 6 x 4.5 mask, or even a smaller square mask for 16 shots per roll, and change the film counter gear. The kits can be found on fleabay and KEH usually in the $50 range, or less.

The only Rolleicords that can do this can be identified by looking at the frame counter -- is there a round disc there that has the window in it and has a screw knob in the center? Then you can install the kit.

The Yashica folks made a model 635 that can use 35mm film. It was sold with the appropriate adaptor.

You can get a 35mm kit for using a standard 35m film and also mask kits for 16 and 24 frames from a 120 film,I currently have a 16 frame kit installed in my VA MII Rolleicord, they come in leather cases and the type I use requires a separate frame counter that you swap over, I have seen some that consist of just masks but I don't know what model they are for. Here's the same kit I use on Youtube (not my video). Sorry they wouldn't let me post link because I am new around here.
Just put Rolleicor 16 into Youtube search and you will get there.

You must be careful when buying the kits, make sure that it works on your model and that all the parts are there,so many have missing parts or are a mix up.

That would be the Rollecord Va and Vb. There were 16 and 24 exposure kits. They work quite good if you want smaller than 6x6 on 120.

The film gate for the 16 exposure kit is about 4 cm by the approx width of 120 film. The viewfinder masks show (approx) 4x4 and 645. I once used a Mamiya super slide film cutter to cut the neg to the 4x4 for mounting.
