OK, so a friend shows up with a Rolleicord Va, Model K3E Type 2 TLR with two leather pouches.

One pouch is stamped "Rolleiflex 16" and the other "Rolleicord 24". See pix below.

It appears both adapters are incomplete and the 16 frame kit is incompatible with this camera (Rolleiflex, duh!).

The 16 frame kit appears to have only the sports viewfinder masks, a gate mask and is missing the 16 frame counter gear.
1. Is this the only gate mask that would have come with this kit? Seems to be only the 4x5.5 aspect ratio so I don't know how it would work with the 4x4 super slide format.
2. Can anyone confirm what is missing and what model Rolleiflex it might fit?
3. Is there anything else missing?

The Rolleicord 24 kit appears to be missing the gate adapter and the 28 x 40mm sports viewfinder mask and whatever gate masks that might have come with it originally.
1. Were there two gate masks?
2. Is there anything else missing?

I have tried perusing Ebay, but the kits there tend to be misidentified or incomplete.

For grins, here's the camera...

I have downloaded instruction manuals but they are surprisingly unhelpful and not real clear on differences between the Va and Vb models.

Any information appreciated.

16: Yes, one gate mask. You will notice some notches in the top and bottom edges of the film opening- these mark the 4x4 size on the exposed film for reference.

Depends on how you look at it. You are not missing anything. But yeah, for your camera you are missing the '16' frame counter dial that replaces the '12' counter dial.

It is for a Rolleiflex T. Which has a tab on one side that pushes an internal tab on the body to activate the 16 frame counter built into the body. This is why it has no counter dial- the T didn't need one.

Someone else will have to deal with the 24 kit- I know nothing.

This Rolleicord 24 exposure kit for sale on ebay. One of the photos shows all the items included.

The Rolleiflex kit is known as the 645 kit and can only be used on the Rolleiflex model T. As the name suggests it gives you 16 6x4.5 images. I believe the insert reset the counter so that it counted 16 frames properly. It worked only on the T, since only the T had the internal gearing and the larger counter built in.
Hope this helps
