Rollei TLR and SL66 CLA recommendations, please

My 2.8E Rolleiflex may need a CLA and I am hoping to find a recommended repair person besides Fleenor.

In addition, I just went down the rabbit hole and bought an SL66E. It would be great to have reference for a CLA on that beast, too.

You could check in with Dave Feely at Key Camera/Procam Services in Colorado. I'm not sure how he is on responding to email, but you can try to call him at (303) 772-7690‬.

Dave Feely is who Harry Fleenor recommended I call when I asked him about repairing my SL66 (which he had CLAed a couple years ago). I haven't called him yet.

Advance Camera Repair in Portland claims to be able to work on the SL66 too, and they have done great work on other, less niche cameras for me.

I sent my dinged up ex-U.S. Navy Rolleiflex 2.8F to Jim Holman of International Camera Technicians in San Diego. ictcamera.com. Shutter blades hardly moved, the shutter speed adjustment wheel wouldn't move due to bashed in front plate etc. I got it back in 5 weeks and it's been working perfectly. He also found bent springs, non-OEM springs(Navy jury rigging). Called me to discuss options. The parts alone came to $173. The total was $500(included CLA). He charges a $50 estimation fee, which is fair since he has to take the camera apart and examine it. Most repair folks hide that in their final cost. If you agree with the estimate it's incorporated into the final bill. If you don't it's used to put the camera back together and for return postage. Right now, he's accepting work and I just sent him my Mamiya C220 that lasted a roll-and-a-half before the automatic frame stop went out. If you go to the website and look under medium format it says he repairs rolleiflex with no specific models. He may do the SL66 also.

Go to his website and fill out the repair request form. He’ll let you know when you can send in your camera. This is how he regulates his workload so he’s not inundated.
