Rollei Superpan 200 failure

I used Rollei Superpan 200 in 135-format for reversal with lovely results. Then tried 3 films in 120-format.
The picture below is about 1/3 of a frame where I tested a Tessar for flare on a prewar Super Ikonta B. All medium gray on 4 films from the same package shows this failure. Light spots and the print from the backing paper. Before I saw the imprint from the backing paper I thought that this might be me doing the bleaching wrong, so I took extra care with that stage: using demineralized water etc. The 4th film I only did the first development. Then fixed the film. Same problem.

My fault might also be the storing which I do in my basement. Probably a little humid in late summer and autumn. But the films was bought from Macodirect in May 2016 and the first film was loaded in July and stayed in the camera in my living room over the winter. Which is rather dry here.

The films has expiry date 2 2019.

I should probably write to Macodirect, but has anyone here had the same problem recently?

There have been other discussions on this issue, IIRC, and the answer is to stop using Rollei Superpan 200 and start using Rollei Infrared 400. It's apparently the same film (one of the Aviphot films, I believe) but the IR400 has been confectioner/packaged by a different company, so avoiding the mottling and print-through problems the Superpan 200 suffers from.

Run some searches on Rollei IR400 vs Superpan 200 and you'll likely find the discussions.

I'm still trying to figure out why some named that film Superpan 200, thereby creating confusion with a much earlier film by Agfa called Superpan 200.

I have nothing but issues with all the retro S films in 120 when they changed from the plastic cigar tubes to the boxes for the finishing. Maco blamed me for everything and yet refused to look at any scans or film i was willing to send them. many others have reported emulsion issues as well. Ive had no issues with the 35mm films. So until they fix their sh**, im passing on all their films. sad really.

Developed one film to normal negative with the same mottling. No response from Macodirect.
