Hi All, I recently acquired an used Rollei SL66 to start a new project. Just love the camera, but have a big problem: negatives came out with uneven exposed image, especially on images with sky or bright scene. The left and right edges are always slightly over exposed, and sky never looks even. I've tried with 2 different lenses and 2 backs, same thing happens, checked the camera, it seems light-tight, all inside black paint looks fine...

Anybody knows what's wrong? Thanks in advance.

Are you sure it is the camera? Are you using a rotary processor? Too much film agitation can often produce overly dense film edges, often blamed on light leaks.

I tested side-by-side with my other 2 medium format cameras, and developed in the same tank, agitation was 10sec/min for 12min. The result is obvious. I'm still shooting with it, about 100 rolls of film by now, but it bothers me all the time. Really confused...

I wonder whether there is a problem with internal flare or reflection? You indicated that you looked at the inside black paint. Is there any possibility that there is something amiss with the mirror or the focal plane shutter or some other internal mechanism?

Just some thoughts.
