I bought a Rollei Scissors strap for my Rolleiflex Automat 75 3.5. Doesn't fit. I thought they were all the same but obviously that was wishful thinking. Before I throw anymore of my money away can someone show me which strap I need?

Thanks,
Dan

Thanks. I have a terrific Optech strap that I was going to use but I cannot get the nylon end fed through the slot so I can loop it around. I guess I'll go through some of my cheapo nylon straps in the drawer to see if one of those will fit.

Good, I hope you have one that fits. But nylon loop straps aren't hard to find, and they are more reliable than old dry leather straps.

And now you just need to find another Rolleiflex for the scissors strap...

i have the clips for my rollei but the strap is so narrow i prefer a more modern strap that doesn't bite into my shoulder.

Those straps with flat ends don't feed through the rather complex hookup on the camera, however, as you have discovered. I bought an optech strap that has thinner round loops on the ends, sort of like really tough shoelaces, that do fit through the clips on the camera. They are very secure and nice to use.

Freestyle has them for $20 http://www.freestylephoto.biz/15190012-Optech-Pro-Loop-Strap-Forest-Green

That is a terrific idea Summicron1. Thanks. I have an Optech on my YashicaMat and love it.

Hmmm. I'll have to sell some things, actually quite a few things, before I can afford another Rolleiflex.

As a quick update, I bought a set of these.

Now I can move my Optech Pro strap from the Yashica Mat to the Rollei without undoing any straps. I just unsnap the neck piece and move it.

BTW, even these relatively thin nylon loops were a bear to feed through those tight Rollei slots. But they do fit and that great Optech neck pad makes carrying this camera around all day really comfortable.
