Over the last week I have been corresponding with the Rollei/Maco team about questions I had concerning their Rollei 400 IR film.
During that correspondence I inquired about the testing results of the Prototype film that a number of people tested last year. They asked that the following be passed along to all APUG members.

Yes, we have completed all tests sucessfully with the new film, that
goes further in the IR range. Unfortunately, however, there is no
possibility right now, to offer this film as sheet film. The film is
currently cut and packaged as 35mm and roll film 120. The presentation
is scheduled for *OCTOBER 2008*, and samples will be available at the
Photoina in Cologne. The new film is named: _*ROLLEI RETRO 80 S*_ (S=
stands for synthethic, a different name for Kodak Estar). This new
film offers more extensive IR effects, than the ROLLEI IR, with its
higher ISO sensitivity.
*We would appreciate it, if you would post this information in the
APUG forum!*
FREESTYLE will take over all of our new films, including the
ROLLEI RETRO 80 S to North America. Thank you.

This is wonderful news and I am definitely looking forward to using this new film
I am posting their answer to one of my questions concerning the curling of the Rollei 400 IR film in a separate post.
