So while in my local camera shop yesterday I was tempted into buying a roll of Rollei Infrared 400 film in 120. I already own a 89B filter, but am having a heck of a time finding ISO info.

What speed are you all exposing at? I have seen reports from .5 up to 200 - I don't think I can bracket that much!

I'm hoping to shoot it this weekend while out in the woods.

Rollei IR 820/400 will be around iso 12 with a 89B or 88A filter.

Here my example with the Yashica Mat 124-G loaded with Rollei IR. I have a Bay I Heliopan 88A (RG715nm) filter. With this filter it's a bit easier to get the 'wood' effect then the 89B (RG695nm) filter.

Developed in AM74/RHS 1+9. It's a semi-compensating Phenidone - Hydroquinon [PQ] developer pH=10,2 so some small failures in E.I. is not too bad with this developer.

This is part of my confusion - is Rollei 820 and Infrared 400 the same? I thought not.

Thanks.

Rollei infra red is iso 400 without filter and around iso 12 with above mentioned filter.

My example is also done on iso 12.

The film is sensitized till 820nm but is going down fast in sensitivity over 750nm.

It's a different emulsion then the Efke IR820 film which is iso 100 without a filter and iso 1-3 with above mentioned filters.

My example of the mill is hand shot 1/30S - F=4 under full sunlight. The focus has just got a very small correction.

Best regards,

Robert
