I'm looking to do some location strobe work with my Leaf AFI (Hy6) kit. I have a Metz 3562 module and a on camera Metz flash, it's great but not for off camera modifiers. I heard that I could use my Metz module with some Lumedyne strobes but I can't find any info on that...

I also know I can get the Quantum QF-18 to use with QFlashes. Are all QFlashes compatible with TTL modules? eBay listings have them as "for Canon" or "for" whatever. I honestly just want something simple that I can rig up in an Octabox, boomed above camera... Lordy I can't expect something wireless can I?

Currently I use an Interfit Strobies 360, but I have to manually meter each frame (shooting film). Just trying to make my life a little easier with TTL.

Thanks!

Yes you can have a wireless simple solution. It is not TTL. Two PocketWizard transceivers, one on camera and one on the strobe unit are needed. You will need to meter each image.

One PocketWizard unit (for example, a Plus II) fits the the hot shoe of the Leaf AFI. The other PocketWizard connects to the strobe in question. There are plenty of threads on the internet talking about this. You will need to decide which cable is required to connect your strobe to the PocketWizard. They are cheap and easily found on the PocketWizard site.

I am not familiar with a wired or wireless TTL solution for your setup, using off camera lighting. Might take some sleuthing through the Metz and QFlash sites.

At this time I have a kit with an Interfit Strobies 360 flash and Cactus wireless trancievers. Just looking to get TTL metering to speed up my shoots.
