Hello,
For a photographic project that I want to expand to 4x5", a shutter which can be triggered electronically and as quickly as possible is needed. A controller providing the trigger pulse already exists and can be adapted to (almost) any kind or shape of pulse as needed by the new shutter.
I will be using a Sinar P and lenses currently mounted on #0 Copals. A short delay from trigger pulse to the shutter having fully opened is of critical importance, it should be below 10ms but the shorter the better. Regarding shutter speeds, at least 1/125 is needed.

The only model I could find that's still readily available (used) for a reasonable price is Rolleis electronic shutter but there seems to be no detailed technical documentation at all around for it. Usually its used with the Lens Control S, can this unit be triggered externally or only by the buttons on it? If so, how much delay does it introduce? If not, is its communication with the shutter documented somewhere so I could implement it in my controller?

The Sinar eShutter seems to still be made and sold new but is rather pricey and there's no data available on how quick it is.

Are there any alternatives to look into or is mounting a solenoid to a Copal my only option?

All inputs and advice are highly appreciated.

Look into the Horseman ISS shutter. It is (or was) made in Copal #0 and #1 sizes.
