Rollei Accessory Information

Does anyone know what this accessory is, and what kind of camera does it belong to if it is a camera accessory?

Just a guess…but it looks like it could be a cold shoe for mounting a flash using the lens bayonet…

Pretty close, I think it's part of a Rolleiflash 2 attachment. The round part attaches to the lens using the filter bayonet, and the arms with circular cutouts would have held a flashbulb reflector (now missing), and it could fold up. If you ask in the medium format forum, maybe some greater Rollei experts will chime in.

well, that looks exactly like it, the Rolleiflash 2. Thank you for your help. The bracket was found in a box of stuff from my father-in-law. I'll have to see if I can locate the reflector.
