This is a Rollei 6003 that I had for sale a short while ago...it didn't sell, and it's a good thing because the camera suddenly won't power up--no lights, nothing. I have a recelled high cap battery that has been working perfectly for year, and when I put a meter on the two sets of pos/neg pins it reads 10+volts...I've checked both battery fuses for resistance and I get a resistance indication...the lens is on tight...I use an N charger, and when I attempt to recharge the battery now (top it off?), the battery seems to get a lot warmer than I remember. I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions.

Please explain. The fuses should read zero resistance and the circuit to which it is connected should read at least 10K ohms.

Its possible that a cell or two have gone bad. The battery may read good static but fall below operational lever as soon as a load is applied. I've encountered rechargeable batteries that show correct voltage but supply no current.
Check voltage under load then current.

You may want to check it with the film back off (or at least ensure the magazine change lever is *all the way* down). I can't tell you how many times I thought the battery had run out or the body had an issue when actually the lever was just /slightly/ up.

I'd check without a lens and without a back. So at least you know the issue is the body and not one of the accessories shorting something.

Hah, got it...the problem was mine--something to do with the back, I removed both the insert and the magazine, reset them, and the camera came on...my faith in this wonderful camera is restored (just wish it was a little lighter in weight)...Regards and Thanks to all...Vincent
