Rollei 400IR Film

I understand that, unfiltered, this film can be used as a normal 400 ISO panchromatic film. I am not interested in the classic, infrared "Wood effect" look (white trees, dark sky). I'd just like to know if this film, without a filter, still records somewhat in to the near infrared range along with the visible range. In other words, if something was just outside the normal range of vision, say 720-740nm, would this film "see" it when using it as a normal panchromatic film at its 400 ISO? Also, would using a yellow filter cut down somewhat on the UV, allowing a little better IR coverage when used as a normal panchromatic film?
