Hi All,
Does anyone here know anything about how the meter operates on a Rollei 35SE? I recently inherited one. It is in wonderful cosmetic shape, and the shutter speeds are all spot on. I put a fresh battery in it, but when I press down on the shutter release (which is how I assume the meter is activated - I have no manual) all I see are two red LEDs in the view finder. No matter what combination of aperture and shutter speed I use, all I see are the two lights. Is this operator error or is the meter out of sorts?

Thanks,
Paul

It may be working right. Take the camera OUTSIDE and see if there isn't some combination of shutter and aperture that will give you a single GREEN light. The meter is VERY insensitive, and will not meter indoors. I can't imagine what Rollei was thinking when they put this albatross into their little jewel.
