Rollei 35 shutter/advance issue

Hey forum-

New to this, but glad I found you.

I was just out shooting with my Rollei 35. Clicked a frame, cranked the advance, got ready to fire again but got nothing out of the shutter.

The advance is cocked, won't move. I press the the shutter release, nothing.

Tried playing with the takeup spool to see if I could advance manually, or trip the shutter, with the rewind on.

Lens is locked, of course.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Matt. No, I was maybe 5 frames in when it happened. The film's since been removed so I could try to resolve the issue...

Earlier in the year I dropped my Rollie 35 on a hard floor. It was jammed so I reckoned after 40 year of use that was that.
Anyhow a couple of months later I thought I might as well take it to bits. Found that ripping the plastic covering revealed the screws to get the job going. When I got the lens shutter unit loose I realised that the shutter was not actually jammed. The drop had knocked out connecting levers. Carefully reassembly and the camera was good again.
Now a year before a dealer had given me a jammed Rollie 35 for spares. I had just bought a decent 120 folder. So I wondered and dismantled it the same way, same problem and I now had another working Rollie 35 LED, although LED meter had not worked fo years. So I went from 2 Rollie 35s, other was B with dud meter I had picked up cheaply to 1 and then back to 3.
Replaced covering with adhesive plastic sheet so you can end up with a distinctive Rollie 35.

Thanks for that. Curios: Do the shutter levers at the 9 o’clock position tell us anything about what’s happening inside the camera?

reviving this thread - @adamgt, did you ever find a solution to this? im pretty sure i have the exact same problem. advance lever is locked as if it were ready to fire, however depressing the shutter release does nothing. i can see the levers inside moving, and if i remove the very bottom black metal plate (with the camera back off) i can see that depressing the shutter release moves the very bottom-most lever which connects to the left side of the camera. haven't opened it up further as i'm a bit scared to break something...
