With a top shutter speed of 1/500th of a second, I have to limit myself to iso 400 film or slower, as well as having to shoot stopped down a lot. I'd like to have a few more options, but finding an ND filter for a 24mm thread size is proving to be problematic.

Does anyone have one that they're willing to sell?

I don’t think that Rollei ever made an ND filter for Rollei 35. I use a Rollei 35 to E39 adapter, a common filter size. I bought my adapter so long ago I have no idea from where. Often times, especially for odd filter sizes, adapters are the only solution.
Good luck on your quest!

If you can find a 24mm filter of any type to use as a donor mount, a local optician can probably cut a suitable ND insert from a larger filter.

EarlJam - That's a very good idea.

I'm kicking myself, actually, because on ebay, someone was selling the very item I was after, only last week. I put it off, for whatever reason, and now it's sold! It wasn't an official Rollei one, but some third party thing.

EarlJam: Yes, somehow I missed that, but I was after at least an ND4, but preferably an ND8 and that one is an ND2.

Guangong: I've found a step-up filter ring adapter which looks like it'll do the trick

-) even Heliopan does not have grey filters in 24mm off the shelf, but you can ask for a custom cut one.

-) Beware of the designations: ND 2 may mean 1/4 transmission, but also roughly 1/120 .

If you are shooting negative film, do not concern yourself over topping out at f/16 and 1/500... Allow the overexposure and relax...
